Drug Enforcement Administration – U.S. Embassy Rome visit. SanaFirenze and the IPAS team were received by the DEA for a tour at the American Embassy in Rome. This was also a great opportunity to meet with the Country Attaché, Scott Seeley-Hacker, and DEA Police Liaison Officer, Dominick Buda, and discuss further our collaboration on the schools’ substance abuse prevention program. DEA’s contribution provides the students and their parents with a wider understanding of addiction on global level. Adding to the legal aspects, they show us the dark part of the story, within the dirty drug laboratories where traffickers find their way making a fortune from our despair! How only one drug experience can end up on our record for life as law doesn’t discriminate between good or bad! The danger of keeping the same behaviour without being aware of the cultural & social aspects differences around addiction when moving from one place to another….
